Abstract

Background & Purpose: In today's dynamic world, businesses face many challenges in maintaining their competitive position in the market. One of the ways to maintain this position is the ability to innovate, which can provide a competitive advantage for them. This study seeks to investigate the effects of entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation on product innovation performance in Iranian aviation industry.
Methodology: In this research, a quantitative approach was used to test the hypothesis of the mediating role of learning orientation on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and product innovation performance. The data was obtained through a standard questionnaire from Iranian aviation industry. Data analysis was done by structural equation modeling by partial least square method (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 3 software.
Findings: The analyzes showed that learning orientation mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and product innovation performance. This finding shows that while entrepreneurial orientation directly affects product innovation performance, learning orientation can increase this effect and show its vital role in the innovation process.
Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening learning orientation in companies in order to strengthen the positive effects of entrepreneurial orientation on product innovation performance. By doing this research, companies can perform better in today's competitive environment and improve their innovative capabilities.
