Designing a model of research ethics in military universities

Abstract

Background & Purpose: Considering the prevalence of scientific immorality in the higher education environment of the last two decades, non-observance of ethics in research in scientific centers of the country will lead to many consequences, hence the purpose of this research is to design a model of research ethics in military organizations.
Methodology: This research is practical in terms of purpose and exploratory in terms of approach. The research data were analyzed through the resulting library studies with the foundation data method and using the MaxQDA software. To validate the model, a focus group was used, and the statistical population of this stage was 5 prominent researchers of the university, and they were selected in a purposeful and judgmental way
Findings: Internal and external factors justify need to pay attention to research ethics. The central category is attention to researchers, research participants, the nature of research and how to publish the results. Causal conditions, contextual factors, intervening conditions, strategies and consequences were identified and categorized. Validation of model by the focus group method indicated the confirmation of the factors.
Conclusion: Observance of research ethics leads to the improvement of the level of technology and innovation, achieving a desirable global position, preventing scientific surprises, reviving Islamic civilization, reviving individual and institutional components, which is necessary, with the attitude strategic; Special attention to goals, perspectives and policies, reforming the attitude of policy makers, research processes and structures, creating research ethics discourse and teaching research ethics criteria and national and global interests.
