Background and Objective:
Resistance economy has always been emphasized as a solution to confront economic threats and create economic stability in Islamic societies. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the characteristics of resistance economy in the governance of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A study of the economic policies of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the Mecca and Medina periods shows that principles such as self-sufficiency, economic justice, combating hoarding, and market regulation were considered as the main axes of resistance economy in his governance policies.
s show that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized strengthening domestic production, supporting small businesses, developing agricultural and livestock infrastructure, combating hoarding, and creating economic justice in the face of economic crises. Also, promoting social solidarity and developing a fair tax system are among the key policies of the Prophet (PBUH) in strengthening the resistance economy.
Conclusion:
The governance style of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is considered a comprehensive and efficient model in implementing the principles of the resistance economy. Using ethical principles in trade, strengthening domestic production, and preventing monopolization are among the solutions that can lead to economic stability in Islamic societies. In the current situation, reviewing economic policies based on the Prophet's style can be a way to deal with contemporary economic crises.
