Background & Purpose: Given generational shifts, a declining population growth rate, the consequent gradual decrease in applicants for membership in AJA, and the necessity of aligning the recruitment system with these developments, this study was conducted to identify solutions for transforming the recruitment process of I.R.I. Army.
Methodology: This applied research employed a qualitative approach. The population consisted of professors and human resource management professionals within the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army. Purposive sampling was used to select the sample. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which continued until theoretical saturation was reached. A total of 14 interviews were conducted. Data analysis utilized thematic analysis with the MAXQDA software.
Findings: The findings revealed seven comprehensive themes representing transformative policies in the Army's recruitment system: 1) Transformation in the approach to recruitment; 2) Mitigating human resource needs in response to declining population growth; 3) Enhancing organizational attractiveness; 4) Diversification of recruitment sources; 5) Structural transformation of recruitment centers; 6) Diversification of recruitment methods; and 7) Improvement (facilitation, goal-orientation, and scientific approach) of the recruitment process.
Conclusion: Utilizing the identified solutions will lead to a transformation in the Army's recruitment system, an increase in the number of applicants for membership in AJA, a higher probability of selecting suitable human capital, the superiority of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army in the recruitment process, and consequently, enhanced Army performance and increased national power.
